Pastor Joanne's Office Hours:

Monday thru Thursday 9am to 1pm

For hospitalizations or other emergencies:

 

Please contact Pastor Joanne and our church office as soon as possible. We will be better able to come to your assistance if we are among the first notified of an emergency.

 

If the emergency occurs at night, on a holiday, or at any other time outside normal office hours, we recommend calling the church office and following up with an email.

 

If you leave a voice message at the church, please include a call-back number where we can reach you or your emergency contact person.

 

In the event of a death, please contact the church office FIRST before meeting with a funeral director so we may assist in coordinating details, location, and scheduling of a funeral or memorial service.

Education - BS and MS Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville

Teacher who had biggest impact on you - Rosalia Yost, High School Choir Director, God, music and her students were her life

Occupations - I have been a middle school teacher in public and parochial schools, a college instructor, Infant and Adult Aquatics specialist, an Associate Pastor, and now the best: part time Interim Pastor!!!

Family and locations - Ken, retired YMCA of the USA Executive,

William, instructor and Director of Student Publications, WIU, Macomb

Sarah (Andy) Adult Education Program Director, Sauk Valley College, Dixon

Robert (Kristine) Basketball Coach, DeKalb Area

James (Katie) Strength and Conditioning Coach, Instructor, Rock Valley College

Five grandchildren

Hobbies - Reading, Sewing, Walking

Guilty food pleasure - anything Hershey's makes

Church background - raised in the Evangelical and Reformed Church which became a part of the UCC, have attended the Catholic Church with Ken.

How did you find Spring Creek - Looked for a small neighborhood church that I could call home.

Describe your perfect vacation day - No cooking, no time schedule.

Favorite thing to watch on TV - Ken Burns productions on PBS

Brush with fame - John F. Kennedy waved to me while in a parade.

Favorite Book - At the moment: Holy Envy by Barbara Brown Taylor

Favorite Movie - Guess Who's Coming to Dinner, just as relevant today as when it was made.
